It is up to you to decide what kind of ingredients to include in your sushi. Experiment with any of your favorite foods and be creative. Here are more examples of possible ingredients:

    1. Seafood : tuna, salmon, prawns, octopus, squid, shrimp, crab, oyster, mussel, abalone, lobster, etc.

Fish and shrimp are the primary ingredients for sushi, and can be used either raw or cooked. It must be fresh, and stored at 3 to 5 degrees Celcius. You can tell the freshness of these ingredients by their color and firmness to the touch. Raw fish ( sashimi ) is best if eaten the same day it is prepared. If there are leftovers, it is best to serve them cooked rather than raw.

    2. Meat and Dairy Products : beef, pork, chicken, eggs, bacon, etc.

Meat and dairy products should always be cooked. Frying, baking, barbecuing, steaming, and boiling are all acceptable.

    3. Produce : spinach, cucumber, carrots, squash, green beans, celery, mushrooms, lettuce, fresh fruits, etc.

Vegetables will provide fresh flavor and crisp texture if used raw. If you prefer cooked vegetables, steam or boil vegetables 2-3 minutes before adding into sushi.

    4. Ready prepared products : canned sardines, canned tuna, peanut butter, jellies, etc.

Sushi is really fun! You can always find something to put inside. Try to invent your own recipes.

Remember, whatever you want to put in as the filling is fine. There's no limit to what you can do with sushi.
ENJOY ! BON APETIT !!!
